After sound, long sleeping we waked up early – at 6 am. About 11 am we took our rental car – a Pointiac V6!! – a brand new car. At the airport we configure our navigation system to find the way out of city to our host families to leave the presents there. The two families live outside Vancouver down town in the north of Vancouver. They both had nice houses and the neighborhood seem really quiet. We look forward to the month we could stay at their house and families because they….??
After the visit we bought some food and water for the journey and hit the road in direction to Hope. Arrived in Hope we checked-in in a little sweety Motel called “Windsor”. We explored the Coquihalla Canyon and the famous Othello Quintette tunnels (hand-made tunnels for the railway build in 1913). It was very impressive.
The small Coquihalla lake nearby is surrounded by campgrounds, but it was very quietly and we enjoyed the beautiful sunset.
