17.06.08: one more day in Osoyoos

Did you know that Canada has a desert? Neither did we! So we visited yesterday the Osoyoos desert center, which was really interesting. Tucked into the southernmost corner of British Columbia’s beautiful Okanagan Valley, this extraordinary habitat is home to one of North America’s most fragile and endangered ecosystems. Despite its small size, Canada’s desert is home to an exceptional array of desert plants and animals, some found nowhere else in Canada, many on the brink of extinction. Unfortunately we didn’t see desert typical animals like snakes or owls.
Our guides and maps led us to some tourist attraction and we were really disappointed, when we were there, because it was nothing special or we didn’t find the attraction!!!

Frustrated because of all this, we went shopping! :) One more time an adventure and we had to laugh all the time: bigger is better in Canada! Not only in the shopping mal also are the laundry machines huge! (see photos)
